PTS RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN


  • Waiting room and front window closed to families. 
  • Payment made through Fusion, credit card called in, mailed check.
  • Therapist will bring in child for scheduled session.
  • Child’s temperature will be checked on entry.
  • Accompany child to wash hands thoroughly.
  • Consider removing shoes at entry to therapy room.
  • Wash hands on exit from session.*


For All Staff:

  • Check temperature as you come in the building.*
  • Wash hands after entering.
  • Do not allow kids to touch door knobs.
  • Personally determine option of wearing a mask or face shield.
  • Use EPA approved cleaners on room surfaces between sessions.
  • Wear gloves where possible.
  • Use toys objects only once during day unless can be cleaned.
  • Maintain as much social distance between therapists as possible.
  • Do not use front office, try to stay as much as possible in tx room.
  • Spread out bathroom use, i.e. PT bathroom 1015, use one front one for clients, one for therapists on far 1015 side, staff bathroom middle hall.
  • Respect everyone’s individual office space. Talk from doorway.
  • Keep windows open when temperature allows.
  • Lunch brought and kept in individual offices if possible.


Office Staff only:

  • Provide cleaners to each scheduled room prior to opening, replacing previously used spray bottles.
  • Wipe door knobs intermittently throughout day.
  • Clean bathroom surfaces each evening.
  • Maintain orders of approved products as able.

Use of Upstairs:

  • Keep schedule up to date at bottom of the stairs.
  • Spray used surfaces as you leave session.
  • Limit use as you are able, allowing up to 3 hours between use.


Mission Statement: to provide quality speech and language, occupational, physical, music therapy, and related educational programs to individuals of all ages and many disabilities to improve their quality of life. The therapies will help develop functional social skills, and will improve self esteem through participation in purposeful activity, which leads to optimal independence.
